as long you get full score for maths (which is the easiest IMO) you'll be alright.

@atheistram before the addition of writing section, the maximum score is 1600. Now it is 2400 with the writing section.

SAT is not a waste of money if you don't take any prep course. Just pay couple of bucks to register the exam and buy some books, and you all done. There are so many free source you can utilize on internet. And that benifits me a lot, I finally end with a 1750 for my 1st attempt on SAT. Just dont try to spend a lot of time on memorizing thoundands of words like this said, it's a waste of your time...BTW english is not my native language, and I'm a Chinese. I earn a scholarship based on the score.
