i loved your hair. how long did you leave these in? i'm gonna get my hair done like this but i don't want them to start to loc.

Thanks Grad008! yea I only kept these Braids in for about a week cause I needed to wash my hair LoL.... don't worry about them locking, you will know when its time to take them out! locking depends on your hair type, size of the braid and if you wash or wet them alot. It would be cool if you posted your end results!!!

lol, ok, you hit the ones that I was concerned about, I would have never thought mineral oil but that's right, also just just just finished a video about harmful ingredients and sls was definitely one of em along with als so I'm good now, I think I feel confident shopping. I got a store here that sells stuff in damaged packages for like $1/$2 so I racked up on some good stuff unopened yesterday, and none had this bad stuff fortunately, thanks a bunches

You make valid points, I believe it was when I stopped taking my prenatal vitamins that my hair started falling out. So that's a good idea to run out and get some. As far as the discounted products, I had to go back to the city I used to live in to get it (only because I had to take my children to the doctor over there) I was like a kid in the candy store. I got a bag full of goodies, including brand name makeup 4 $2 total $13.68 make up (maybelline, cover girl maxx factor etc) $2 or less

my basics are a sulfate free shampoo, creamy leave-in conditioner, my gel activator (my moisturizer) and a styling holding gel. a few times a week i oil my scalp.

I'm still in the process of tryin out products that are agree with my budget! *smiles* one thing I do believe in is taking a multivitamin! ... the hair on your head is dead and gone. we need to take care of the scalp and follicle to keep our hair at its best/fullest.
