A new company, FibeRio, receives a large state grant with the help of the McAllen Chamber of Commerce. A new innovative process to spin nanofiber, fiber so small that it takes a couple hundredth before you can actually see them. Its a easier, less expensive way to produce nanofiber for applications all over the world. The technology comes from the minds of two professors at UTPA. The McAllen Chamber of Commerce helped provide some of the original funding that developed this technology and today there is a new company called FibeRio, which has obtained more development funds from the State of Texas. The City of McAllen, the McAllen Chamber of Commerce and the Rio Grande Valley...working on tomorrow today.
