@bertoluzzi2009 : The first zarb he uses is called Cooki. These lines of produce was introduced to market by HELMI. They are not sold anymore bc they didnt give a good customer rating. In such products, there is a notch on top, where he pushes with his elbow that can stiffen and loosen the skin. That is why he can get a really sharpened or loosened sound with just snaps of his finger. Anyhow, I dont consider that really a good technique bc any one can do it if there is the right tool.

Can a drummer make sounds like wind howling and melodies like this on a "primitive instrument" as a comment says down here?? This is art and this man is an artist in true meaning of the word!
Other drummers play the rhythm only. they dream of being able to play a melody, but this guy is doing it. Some people with some simple comments here made a fool of themselves.
Just show this to any pro drummer and he will be shocked.

Awesome performance!!! You've got to have time to listen from the beginning to the end. This music may be is not for everybody taste, just like any other music, but millions of you out there may say wow!!! And most drummers would appreciate this more. I love to see this musician performing "live". Thanks for sharing.

All Zarb has the option of making this sound that rises and falls, or is a special Zarb?

The sound you hear is mostly based on his technique and skills of Tombak (Zarb) playing. Nevertheless, the first instrument he uses is modified a little to get more dramatic sound.
