i adopted a pure bred maltese pup from my local shelter only 50 bucks maybe you should look at your local shelter for one

Anyone have advice for getting the tears on a maltese's face out? Also their hair keeps getting matted am do I need a special comb?

They are expensive, Maltese puppies typically go for a grand or more. I've seen them in pet stores for $1500. If you know someone thats's got a Maltese that's had puppies and just wants a good home for them you might get lucky, private party sales can be as low as a couple hundred $. Whatever the cost they're worth it, they are a sweet natured cuddly little dog that loves affection.
