Scion xD is an awesome car. I just got one and am loving it. It's functional, practical, reliable and just simply COOL. Great fuel economy, great features, and a lot of fun with customization options. One regret is that the Japanese and European counterparts (IST, Urban Cruiser, respectively) are better looking and better equipped. I think bringing in the European or the Japanese rendition would have fared much better in the competitive US market.

@Georgenfla - yeah I am getting 33-34 highway/city mixed driving... 31-32 city only...
34 to 36 highway... 40 highway if stay under 70mph but I also have 18 inch
wheels with 225/40 tires. With the stock 16inch wheels I got over 40mpg
a trip. 18s look & handle better so I'm good with the range I'm getting.
oh and i agree I opened up the intake and it has lots of power for a daily
driver.

haha... getting on in a couple of months. Love all Scions (xA,xB &tC), but the xD is smore "rare"

as long as the 'stang is running on 6 of 8 cylinders.... 0.o ---
actually, Siphon magazine dyno'ed an xD,
and they got 121whp... so i think Toyota underrated the output. my '08 xd (5-sp)goes pretty good.

The Scion Xd has a Corolla drive train, and will achieve 42 highway, and 29 city. It was also run with a late model mustang gt, as long as the mustang is an automatic, NOT BAD for a 4 cylinder car! Also, the reliability is that of a Corolla, and nothing will beat that!
