@PhroshStar...I agree with you. It's just an opinion and everyone does not have to agree w/it. I'm sure there must be some talented artists out there today. I am just not big "country" music fan these days. :)

@RaynellPruett How can you say singers today are flat, when they are the ones making up the songs? If it's your song, you don't sing it flat, you sing it the way it's meant to be done. I do wish I could've been alive when amazing artists like Billy Joel, Barry White, Luther Vandross, Elton John etc were playing on the radio... But just like technology, fashions etc. Music changes. For better or worse is a matter of opinion.

@RaynellPruett i completely agree, most of the stuff from the past ten years is crap. 90% of the singers today can't sing. mid 90's and earlier is really all i listen to.

@Dexfan90 that's just it....I don't consider it country music. There are a few artists today that are flat! No other way to say it...they're just flat...on every song...flat! I don't listen to the other stuff either. I consider that to be garbage too. Give me the old stuff...80's or older...any genre!

@RaynellPruett i'm sorry, i just can't understand how someone can hate country music. it's better than most of the crap out there, though the stuff from the past five or six years i don't consider country. its terrible.

I don't know what Simon meant by saying this performance "had nothing to do with this show". It's a country song and he sang it country night.
