  • So good! Great job, Sierra! Love your playing and your voice!

  • @bluegrasssingingman Agreed, most contemporary styles can't touch the complexity of bluegrass and it's contemporary offsprings. I just think you need to be more open minded in the future and less quick to anger. You did try to insult me many times and I was never against you. I was just stating facts.

  • @DwindleDwellandDwarf Bluegrass will always live, and I'm not old. Yeah the tradition if it is Bluegrass, and not New Grass, but New Grass is a hell of a lot harder and better then Country music. Especially the crap Pop Country of today.

  • @DwindleDwellandDwarf I wasn't trying insult you. Styles of music has structures, melody which creates them. When these are changed outside there forms. You're no longer playing that style of music. New Grass is nothing like bluegrass do to the chromatic scales they use. I mention New grass, because a lot of people think it is Bluegrass when it is not. No I'm not say Serria is New Grass. This video is not grass at all.

  • @DwindleDwellandDwarf LOL You're going to tell me about the American music Bluegrass? Then call me mate. I know Bluegrass, and if you want to believe New Grass is the same more power to you. Enjoy life and playing music.

  • @bluegrasssingingman What a typical response of a small mind. You can't have a logical discussion with me about style or even consider what I say could hold some merit. So you go ahead insult me and then run away like a child. I pity you and your thoughts old man. Good Day.

  • @DwindleDwellandDwarf Yeah and POP Country is Country right? Wrong! New Grass is New Grass, Bluegrass is Bluegrass. It is one thing to have you're own style. It is another to break the structure, or say melody by adding chromatic scale for example. Different styles is great as along as it is in the structure of the style of Bluegrass. Just like the melody of the song you're picking. Now please stop commenting me. I don't care what you like or want to play like.

  • @bluegrasssingingman No I do not. They had there own take on the song. They played it on different instruments, in different rhythms, and a different grove. Sorry mate, the characteristics of a style are rooted with the rhythms, not what strings they play the music on.

  • @DwindleDwellandDwarf Yeah I bet you believe when Elvis, and Paul McCartney redid Blue Moon Of Kentucky. That they was doing Bluegrass. Yeah it is a bluegrass song, but they didn't do it a bluegrass style.

  • @bluegrasssingingman Dear God man!!!!! Yes I get your point, but you are beyond belligerent in thinking that it's the "Need for open strings" that makes the style the style. That is NOT True!! I swear to you that all pieces such as, Blue Moon of Kentucky, The Old Home Place, and Even Jerusalem Ridge and Wheel Hoss can be played in Ab if there is a talented enough musician to take the time to learn it. It will be in the correct style because it is played in the style.
