A challenging voice/style (for our ears). He wrote his first songs before radio or 78s were common. Doesn't it makes you think about how HOMOGENISED our culture has become? We tend to like things because they sound familiar. Like a baby latches to a breast. And what is familar is what we hear on TV. This trans-global media is, ironically, shrinking the cultural pool.
