I feel that Philosophy is less about feeding the mind and more about building the analytical thought processes that are the minds digestive system. It is VERY important to us, for it steps from cold logic to reasoning to empathy to altruism. When we are taught to lay bricks or scan grocery we are not happy in our quagmire. When our mind flies, even if we don't fly with it, our quagmire is now at an ancient Greek health spa.

Professor Lipman was my teacher at Montclair State and I was the first to Teach Philosophy under his program at Montclair alternate High School...it was an elective course after school I started with 8 ended with 32 students...Lipman was right I was driven out by the neanderthal dept. head and professor Bridges...!

Hello, I want to say thanks, I know that a little number of people are intersting in important things like this but is a pleasure when we find some people that they do. I'm from Puerto Rico and here, philosophy is luxery, something for intelectuals but I founded a Center of phylosophy studies and my firs target is to introduce philosophy in the public schools because I want that the children of Puerto Rico know philosophy and theadvantage of this knowledge.

However , I continue calling that P4C/P4All. I added ´all´ just to use caring thinking with the participants. I don´t think I create anything new, despite there are ten books supporting what I said, books that people use all across America Latina. That´s all. Because here, to exchange ideas is too difficult, because o of the max of characters in each msg.

When Lipman and Paulo Freire met in Brazil, Freire said to Lipman that they were doing things so alike. Perhaps for you what I am saying is not important, however in the context of America Latina it is. This is one of the reason that I developed a teacher training program based in Lipman/ Freire ideas and assumptions.

I did not have the opportunity to speak with you in the UK one year ago when I was there. If you continue saying the general term is ´with children´ you are being deceptive with all people engaged in P4All, people in prison, people in factories, people in neuropsiquiatrics. I am not saying that to use fallacy of commiseration, just those are the facts. Those people are who engage more with P4All.

P4C doesn´t have necessarily as a general term PwC. I exposed the theory of that, about why and what for, in my last published book. Buty if this is true that people who read in Spanish also read your books in English, viceversa doesn´t happen, then here we are, exchanging ideas that for you perhaps are new, and for me are old. We are doing PwC and also PwAdults, then the most accurate term is P4All. I spoke with Lipman about P4All, and also with all the staff at the IAPC.

Then, that the BBC did was OK, because the general public were the target. Now, you are using that vid for academic purposes, and you need to say that was A, that was not B. However, in that vid you overwrite words like ´truth´, ´facts´, etc. I think that we, academic people on charge to teach, should be to clarify some points, like these that we are underlining a little here.

In this paragraph I disagree with you. From my view , to said that the general term is PwC leave out all that other people inside P4C have been doing with adults. This is the reason I call P4C, PforAll, because I have been engaged with workers in factories, and now, with esquizophrenic people in a neuropsiquiatric.

I agree totally with you. Youtube is a neccesary tool for us as other sites for videos , too. Maybe it could be nice if we do that difference when we upload vids, if our vids are to use for training, write some little clarification. Because here there are millions of people watching the material.
