Total lies! there is free speech in Algeria! you can say what ever you want without anyone bothering you but you can't just go and demonstrate without a permit issued by the police.

France24 forgot to mention is that there is also free press in Algeria since 1988, they say what ever they want,they criticize and even make up false stories about the government without being arrested!

in their last demo early this year the opposition only about 200 people attended in a city of 4 million people.
