@mdenero Sorry mate,but the Berlin Phil with Karajan is the closest thing to musical perfection with this piece that ive heard,but we are all entitled to our opinion.
@SuperJox Well it's not explicitly marked in the part (like a lot of contra parts) but I'm fairly certain Strauss intended the fourth trombone to be a contrabass. I could be wrong though.
Note to Neeme. It's a panoramic vista from the summit, not the Daytona 500.

I wonder why there's always a contrabass trombone when its never marked for it. It's just a pedal G and low C
