@MrTocoolfortacos unlikely that you will be able to land this type of job at that age. From what I'm learning for the most part you need to go onsite and play the games or do alot of overtime on your own aswell...and child labor laws prevent you from doing that.

right now im 14 and i want to become a game tester when im 15 how much money an hour would i make?

Are websites that offer game testing start up guides and ways to land jobs in game testing legit?? for example becomeagametester(dot)com or is it just a big scam?

I looked everywhere on their site and searched local EA QA tester job openings... absolutely nothing in Atlanta Georgia. What I did find out though, is that if you live in California then you're in luck because that seems to be where every QA job is being offered. Help me :'(

@koga191 Nah, if its something you want to do in life dont let anything stop you :)

@DumbNJKids I think you searched the wrong rank...As a simple tester you don't need any previous experience, you just need to know English well enough to describe any type of bug, you need to have a basic knowledge about gaming, you need to pay attention at every detail in a game and have lots of patience to go through every corner of the game&menu. I don't think I need to mention that you need to know how to use windows/browsing and MS Office (excel, word). The rest is up to you :)

@0lvl When I searched QA jobs up one of the requirements is to have 5-8 years of testing experience. How do you even get that requirement when first starting out.

Anyone know the approx annual salary for this position??

I'm a QA tester at electronic arts FT department and one of the things I like is the fact that it's never the same, you always get new stuff to do, of course there are some basic stuff that you must do at every game, but the rest is different and it can be really fun, also the studio is awesome. The only part that kind of sucks is the payment...But they do know how to keep us interested with their Christmas party. :) It's a great way to start your career that's for sure.
Is Elite Brotherhood of Game Testers legit? Thumbs up so people see and can answer.

In my 2nd year in college I was close to landing a QA job at High Voltage but had to turn it down due to a very difficult commute just to get to the interview (no car). Too bad, I could've maybe helped made The Conduit play better :o
