My grandmother Georgia has always been a huge part of my life. Around 10 years ago she began showing signs of dementia. It became harder over the years for her to take care of herself and was eventually diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. It has only been a year and half since she made the move to assisted living. What's really hard to believe, is that 2 years ago Georgia, Bek and I were going out to dinner weekly and discussing how Bek and I were going to move into her house with her and she was going to keep the baby while we worked. It was never a real possibility, but it was fun to dream and she loved it. Now she can barely remember who we are. It is a terrible disease to deal with, but at least she is safe in her new home now. This is some footage of Driggs and Georgia playing. He was really into playing with her this time, more than he has ever been. I think she enjoyed it too.
