On the road, Nissan's Qashqai is a very comfortable to drive, and it's also well built and affordable. It offers a good choice of petrol and diesel engines and there's a four-wheel-drive option if you plan on some light off-roading, or want extra grip and stability to tow caravans or horse boxes. Nissan has a strong record for reliability, and mechanical and electrical problems are rare.

  • Nice review!

As for the car, i think its too expensive for what it is. At least in my country. For example, 2.0 dci model with the highest equipement package and aut. gearbox costs 41000€, while for that money you can get, i dont know, a renault laguna 2.0 dci GT (with 180hp), with 4 wheel steering, navigation, and all the equipement you get in qashqai, but it only costs 32000€.

  • Nissan USA should replace the Rouge with this.

    1: Looks A LOT better

    2: More fuel effecient

    3: Same Size

  • who are the crackheads who dislike these videos?

  • @NathanaelsFilms Rogue ugly as fuck

  • the engine on the 2007-present Nissan Qashqai/ Nissan Dualis (Japan and Australia)

    Engine

    1.6L I4 petrol HR16DE

    2.0L I4 petrol (MR20DE)

    1.5L I4 K9K Diesel Engine

    2.0L I4 diesel M9R Diesel Engine

  • @mlps93 Judging from photos, the Rogue and Qashqai (as well as other models like X-Trail and Sentra) have many common interior parts like instrument panel, steering wheel, the center stack with knobs.

The Rogue is not underpowered at all. It has a 2.5-liter engine which is more than enough for this car. I test-drove it, got it to 80 mph on a freeway, no overtaking problems, drives like on rails.

I would be more worried with CVT reliability.

  • @LeadHammer

Qashqai interior is actually more upscale than the Rogue as it the rogue shares the same interior as Altima

    that Rogue is seriously underpowered

  • I have a qushquai gr8 only annoying issues is bottle holder and how bad it's layout is too.

  • @derbigpr500 in my country the lowest preice for this car is 16.640€ and the highest about 30.000€ and im in Slovenia

  • I prefer KIA Sportage 2012 instead of Nissan Qashqai, Hyundai iX35 and BMW X1

  • @guayotambora Because in the UK the Qashqai is priced close to these cars in some cases even being cheaper. The QQ is Nissan's answer to the Golf, Vauxhall Astra & Focus, these are the customers Nissan is tempting. I changed my Focus for a Qashqai in 2009, the QQ has proven to be cheaper to run both in terms of insurance & fuel economy. It may look like a 4X4 but has small family car running costs, that's why it's such a success in the UK.

The Tiguan & CRV are priced much higher!

  • @jazzxeno The DPF issue affects many makes not just Nissan. The general guide is if you mainly do stop / start low mileage town driving, a petrol engine is the better choice. Regarding the rear shocks failing, this affected a large number of QQ's and as you said Nissan know about it. A new supplier / batch replaced the affected shocks & have rectified the problem.

I've got a 2009 model bought from new and have not had any problems with the shocks or the QQ in general.
