Unexcused tardy I-71 South Oldham Co. KY

To all our friends, family, and co-workers that can't seem to believe what's been happening, the video is too large to email so instead I have uploaded a clip so that you can see. This should make it clearer. And for the record, we can't believe it either.

Because of accidents in Oldham County, our interstate redirects its traffic to a 2 lane country road and our school did not excuse the 1 1/2 hours it took to get there. This was not even a complete shut down. There was only 1 lane on I-71 closed.

This happens numerous times a year, and a new tardy policy has ultimately made a private Christian education out of our reach. It's easier to walk away from the prepaid semester's tuition (because there will be no refund) than to continue in the turmoil associated with this, not to mention my kids being left out of privileges and their grades reduced because of something I have no control over.

At the end of this video, we were 8 miles from school. It took another 45 minutes to get there. We were 35 minutes late. And yes, it was unexcused. Can't say it makes me feel like going to church any time soon.
