The South Vietnam defends for its freedom and democracy.The North Vietnam wants invade South Vietnam.There is no liberation or any kind.The North Vietnam wants to use that word to get simpathy of the world.We South Vietnam needs help from the US.Simple is that.Look at Vietnam now.People simply dont have freedom or democracy in Vietnam.Vietnam is still one of the poorest country in Asia.
