  • Agreed. Even President Bush will gain respect over time. Seems unlikely now, but I'm sure the highlight of his presidency was 9/11 and the Iraq War, more importantly the capture and execution of Saddam Hussein.

  • All Presidents whether they are right or wrong, eventually become Great because of the sheer Greatness and Esteem that the American People regard the Office of the Presidency. It is the American Way.

  • @dontchastop if Ford didn't pardon Nixon it would set a precedent for all future presidents. Future presidents might be afraid to do anything for fear of it backfiring on them and a prison term. It would have tied the hands of the presidency

  • @rodrigo0078000 RU ever pathetic. The reason this country is in the mess that it is in is partly due to people with your unintelligent attitude. Hopefully one day you will grow up.

I am a Democrat but admiration for President Ford has nothing to do with Party Politics. He was handed an impossible situation and handled the job with dignity and no doubt did his job to the best of his abilities.

He was a man of character and decency who clearly always felt he was doing the RIGHT thing and not the POLITICAL thing. And this coming after a much more skilled and capable politician in Nixon whose political obsessions was his undoing.

    Rest in Peace President Ford

  • What were Ford's accomplishments?

  • Anyone interested in the real history of President Ford should do some research into the invasion of East Timor.

  • @FRSFreeStatePlus What the hell is "breath of fresh air" mean?! This nation had one last shot to search for the truth and Ford flushed it down the toilet. Why is someone like Nixon above the law? In a democracy leaders should be held accountable for their actions. Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon all lied about Vietnam. Over 58,000 Americans died in that war, along with millions of people from three other countries. Ford sounded like a nice guy, but judge him buy his actions.

  • its quite funny to me how many jokes that people have made about President Ford, but they were just the opposite of the Nixon administraion. They were honest to even when talking about personal issues like mrs. Fords cancer, I think that they were good people.

  • Hi! I'm Jerry! I like movies!

  • President Ford was a Breath of Fresh Air after President Nixon with Watergate

  • gerald fort is a reptilan-anunnaki. a vampire.
