@Buuub08 a-10 is more suited if you have full air dominance plus those a-10 eengines are really loud, dont forget that there are also modefied su-25s

@ogi415 Well, the A-10 would have something along the lines of AGM-65 or AGM-114.
The A-10 is about just as old as the Su-25, given continuous upgrades in avionics it would actually be better geared than a Su-25.
A-10 can carry more than 7 tons or ordinance on it, Su-25 only 4.5. There is no match, the Su-25 is intentionally smaller, lighter and faster than the A-10 being built for a different purpose/war scenario. They are NOT competing designs by any stretch of imagination.

@Buuub08 Well then anti-ship and anti-radar missiles are worthy. And i believe the vikhr's can destroy all modern tanks. By the a-10 which one do you mean ? The a-10a which is pretty old and outdated or the a-10c which to me is a match at least in weapons capability.

@ogi415 That load out (16 missiles) is nothing unique or even note worthy. It has 4 hardpoints under each wing (+3 on fuselage), each point can technically hold up to 4 smaller munitions (excluding the fuselage points), a rocket pod or a larger bomb. Weight is the limit not the number of points or munitions you can attach, Su-25/39 has an identical number of points and as long as the total weight doesnt exceed the load capability it can match the A-10's load out, including 16 missiles.

@Buuub08 It's more than the A-10's payload. Well, if it can carry more than 16 missiles on only 2 pylons x8 missiles and being able to carry all the other stuff too ...

@MiniMattBrackel1996 They are not directly comparable having only vaguely overlapping tasks.
The A-10 is larger and heavier, Su-25 is faster and more agile. In a duel situation, excluding the pilot factor, the Su-25 would win based on its performance alone (speed, climb, turn rate). As for ground-attack the A-10 is better for having a notably larger payload and range. Su-39 keeps the agility of Su-25 and adds in the load capability of the A-10 (still slightly less i think).

@AlexanderTch You have no idea what you are talking about. The Su-29 is not a Russian attack plane but a turboprop training.
The Su-34 is replacing the Su-24's and Su-25's.

@MiniMattBrackel1996 Bullshit. There is improved version of Su-25CM in serial production and new russian attack plane Su-29 under testing. Thunderbolt is crap if compare to it.
