@silverbluemonsoon you don't see the difference between the over 10 %, that is black people in the US population who didn't have parents that willingly came to America, and Asians who's parents left their home essentially by their own free will to escape some horrible circumstance. If you've payed attention to what I've said, I haven't labelled a single individual as having any characteristic. I've assumed that any human "racial" group who has gone through what blacks have, would be in the same situation that black people (not on an individual, but mass level) are in.

They don't need you to change their diapers! What, rural Koreans and Indians can take on second full time jobs just to send their child to school to study hard even when hungry, and blacks are too inferior to make sure their kids get to a free school and show effort after a free breakfast, according to you? @rassclaat23 Chicago city schools provide all the resources a child could ever want to learn and prosper, but they produce crappy results because the students refuse to respect the teachers and each other, and their parents don't love them enough to care. Beverly Hills students sit down when the bell rings and listen. Their parents value the children's futures above all else. Ghettos happened because of lack of ethics on the part of the residents. Criminality is a choice.

@rassclaat23 Of course I've heard of Irish lynchings in America, as well as Italian lynchings and plain old cowboy lynchings. That's what it used to be like in America- check your history books. It's strange that you find the notion of the whole family doing hard labor for 14 hour/day funny. It was hell, but people did it to provide their kids with a better future. Black Americans have consistently had higher wages and better quality of life than the world's average. Today, they are the top 1%.

Black "Ghettos" didn't just happen, they are a direct result of slavery, and the segragation afterwards... Do you think that the education in a school in southside chicago is as good as one in beverly hills? The idea here isn't just a decreased "self-image", its a whole race of people who from the beginning were in a lower socioeconomic section. Has black average income EVER been the same as white?

An immigrant is a person who comes to live permanently in a foregin country. COMES to live.... black people by nooo means should be compared to immigrants... Black people didn't come to America in the hopes of a better life... as for slaving away in a factory... lol that's a slightly inaccurate use of "slaving away". You know that immigrants in America didn't even receive the same treatment as blacks... you ever heard of an Irish lynching?..

@rassclaat23 What obstacles does a black or a native in North America has that is not of his own making? In Russia, an orphan really doesn't have any options but to become a hooker or join a gang. In America, every possible service is given to the poor blacks- from reading specialists and speech therapists in schools to financial aid, affirmative action and WIC. Others in the world actually have to struggle on their own. All our blacks have to do is make a choice to do better. Spoiled...
