The official Draw Ceremony of the 2007 Thailand Open event
was held at the Impact Area, Bangkok on Sunday, September 23.

The Thailand Open 2007 was the fifth year of this
international tennis tournament on the ATP Tour and is the
largest and most exciting sports event in the country of
Thailand.

Mr Chirawat, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the
Thailand Open welcomed the ATP Staff, Players and Guests.

ATP Supervisor, Tom Barnes (USA) went on to explain the
procedure of the draw - 25 direct acceptances of players
according to ATP ranking, 3 wild cards and 4 qualifying
players, making up a draw of 32 main draw players.

Fabrizio Sestini,(ITA)
ATP Tour Manager assisted David Crymble,(NZL) Referee
for the Thailand Open 2007, to perform the draw
ceremony.

Frank Dancevic (CAN) was the player chosen to attend the
Draw Ceremony.
Iggy Javanovic (AUS) ATP Player Representative, was warmly
welcomed as were Yona (ISR) ATP & Player Liaison and
Stuart MacDonell (AUS) Tournament Manager.

ATP Supervisor, Tom Barnes announced that notice had been
received from the ATP that due to a knee injury Rafael Nadal
had been forced to withdraw from the tournament and
Carlos Moya would be replacing him for the
Thailand Open 2007.

As in the past the ceremony was run in a most professional
way with Andrew Biggs (AUS)filling in the role of
Master of Ceremonies
