The price of gas is as such roughly 75% of the cost is dependant on the world oil market. I.E the price of a barrel of oil. 15% yes 15% of that is in TAXES that the feds and states put on gas. The oil company takes 10% off that. So oil companies make 10 cents on the dollar while the feds take 15 cents and do nothing! Oil companies don't set the price. The world market does. And high cost isn't really all that bad. Some fields don't turn a profit when it's cheap. Get a new job if it sucks, sorry
