Emile Christian of the ODJB a fine trombonist who travelled Europe extensively in the 20s.The whole band is influenced by his new orleans knowledge

Reminds me of Ladd's Black Aces version. This Borchard recording is in the style of the Original Memphis Five. Very adept trombone player improvising a great solo. Very good recording balance of the instruments. Can hear the piano clearly. Trumpet reminds me of Phil Napoleon from that time period.

Thanks for your approving reactions. Not all Borchard recordings are of the same quality. Some are average dance stuff, but there is a handful of numbers equal to this one, or even better ("Shufflin' Mose", for instance). I think I'm going to get another Borchard uploaded soon.
