In the Orthodox church (and Catholic)there are no women priests ,but there are women nuns that run their own church and do everything except the ceremony.Women cannot enter the altar place too.

This is a protestants church novelty and probably women preach but do not conduct the sacred ceremonies in church

That letter though ,write after that sais how both are equal before God,how one belongs to the other and how this is a great mystery that few understand,Also sais man should have short hair-isnt that weird?I ve read the Bible is reconstructed entirely by old scrolls except very few insignificantly small pieces I wonder maybe a word was missing or something Or if was later added.Coz would it make sense for Paul to praise women(a great mystery) and undermine them in the same place?

@spartemiou i agree with you about the fact this was a letter to a specific church .I disagree about the roles you gave ,man/woman But those where sexist times too.Jesus disciples were surprised when he spoke to women And later saints were also stretching the importance of womans purity.Woman saints also adopted this role willingly.Maybe the gap was too big among the two genders.

Looks like someone knows how to read but didn't know how to study. Read, study the Greek & Hebrew check out the history & customs of the times find out why Paul wrote these verses and you will find that Paul was never against women only false doctrine.

Yes you may recieve spiritual gift.But a woman still should God`s Law and should be quite in church and sure one cannot lead a church it is not a womans place to teach about God.She is weaker than the man.

@spartemiou Many Bible scholars believe that Timothy wasn't really written by Paul, or even during Paul's lifetime. The ecclesiastical language (1/3 of which is never used by Paul in any of his other works) and fact that the so-called "pastoral epistles" are so different from the words of Christ lead many to believe they were added later (in the 2nd century). Worth nothing, the term "pastoral epistles" was an invention by an 18th century Catholic Priest.
