In Blount County, Alabama, a man who started with the best of intentions rescuing animals in need realized his love was turning into neglect. He was no longer able to care for the dogs and cats, and surrendered them to local authorities. The conditions rescuers found them in made the mission all the more difficult.

  • This is shmeful that so many were put to sleep, this is due to poor judgement I believe. There have been puppymill dogs nearly dead that the hsus have saved, and you're telling me most of them were put down? Good job for doing what you do though, and the man did have good intentions and surrendered the animals, I believe that is an honorable act.

  • @formula406mpfi Yes, Put to sleep either because their conditions would have been too hard on the dog to treat, Uncurable or they were gonna live in a cage in the shelter because no one would adopt them

  • @PinkRainfallNesseii Ugh, its better for these animals to be put to sleep, its much kinder, sometimes it has to be done.

Would you prefer them to live in a cage for the rest of their life with no chance of adoption? Yes, it is sad, but when they live in conditions like that for so long, unfortunately it has to be done.

    So you SHUT UP

  • Wow stfu , im in Blount County and they said those dogs have been put to sleep, all you do is just save these animals for attention then kill them.

  • @weatherboi it is not as easy as one may think to simply rehome them after you take them in. I run my own rescue and start taking dogs to adoption as soon as they are ready, and we rotate who we take. I've had a lot of my dogs since they were puppies and they are now fully grown. This guy started off doing the right thing and the dogs look to be in decent health. IF there were more responsible ppl, there would be no need for guys who tried to do this and get into this kind of thing

  • @Joshlongwolf Not everyone bird used in cocks fights aren't. Females are re-homed. Most males are killed because these birds are harder to rehabilitate, or have bad health problems that it would be cruel to keep them alive, unlike most dog fights these birds are left to fight to death. I am aware that most dog fights are, but some people beat the loosing dog to death.

Not every animal can be saved, which is sad, but there isn't enough people willing to adopt rather than buy.

    I adopt.

  • @pumpkin091 ..You say don't donate , then you say you donate ...er....whats so special about you?

  • Why is it that the hsus kills every bird at cockfighting raids? Anyone thats does any research knows full well these birds naturally fight. No Rehabilitation for them? lol...thats like trying to cure flying of a bald eagle....its born that way. I'm not for cockfighting...but klling these beautiful show birds for being what they are is plain wrong. Plenty of people love to raise gamefowl..no fight them. Why would they always be destroyed? Seems just as bad...at least they have a fighting chance.

  • PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE donate to people like this who save animals. I donate $5 a day and they say it does wonders. Please do the same. God bless xoxo

  • i cried when i watched this
