A presentation by Per Einarsson from DICE and Sam Martin from Geomarics. The presentation focuses on the implementation and use of Enlighten, a middleware toolkit for computing real-time radiosity from Geomarics. It demonstrates how the technology is used by its integration into the Frostbite 2 game engine. It demonstrates how the workflow, content pipelines and run-time systems are greatly increased with the help of Enlighten to achieve real-time radiosity for use in video games.

  • Guys... Stop feeding the troll. This video is a showcase for the Frostbite engine. How you all made it into a console vs PC war is beyond me. Get a grip and watch the video instead.

  • There is no way Xbox 360 OR PS3 could have 64 players. But they could have at least made the stretch for 32 players. Even Homefront had 32 players and Homefront was a vast dissapointment.

  • and this shows cry engine 3 is better....

  • @Alifexable

The first/original Mirror's Edge ran on the Unreal 3 engine. I even ran into almost the same graphics problems with it like the other (un-updated) Unreal 3 games I played in my PC, to be honest. LOL. However, the EA Games president did hint that the second game may likely run under the awesome Frostbite 2. Let's just wait and see. :D

  • That's... Literally... TOO FUCKING AWESOME! Oh, and stop arguing about which is better of consoles and PC... The important thing is that you ENJOY your fucking game!!

  • oh fuck, it needs a triple GTX 590 to run smoothly at 60fps, FFFFUUUUU!!!!!

  • How did you get it?

  • As beautifully resources being spent!

  • Consoles are just used by companies to make insane lots of money based on weak technology.
