2008 Nissan Versa NHTSA-Style Side Impact (Child Seat / Safety Research)

The Versa was impacted at 52.9 km/h (32.8 mph).
This side impact test was performed as part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) evaluation of child occupant protection in side impacts. NHTSA's FMVSS No. 214D "Side Impact Protection". The MDB impacted the left side of a 2008 Nissan Versa. Two child side impact dummies representing a 3-year-old child - a Q3s and a Hybrid III 3Cs (H3Cs) - were seated in the left rear and right rear passenger positions, respectively. Each child dummy was properly restrained in a Maxi Cosi Priori forward-facing child restraint system (CRS) which was installed in the vehicle using the LATCH anchorage system.
