"The Cameraman's Revenge" (1912) ia a mindbending stop motion film about a pair of married beetles who are unfaithful to one another. This is more than a simple children's film: it is most intriguing for its critique of a sexual double standard in marriage (the husband beats his wife for having an affair, but is himself exposed publicly for cheating as well).

  • ...me again after another watch...it really is a work of art n to think when it was made too...the detail is super n it's so well made~must of taken ages to get together!

It's hilarious too,I particulaly love what looks like a lap dance through the keyhole.lol..ahaha

  • Thanks J...I just love stop-motion animation. I'm so glad that kids are rediscovering the art of it on their PCs as it was almost a forgotten process the last couple of decades.

  • ...oh man that was excellent~where on earth do you dig these classics out from!!!

As usual the music is perfect all the way through~loved your first musical choice n thought...how's he gonna replace them...but never one to disappoint you topped it with this, taking it in an entirely different direction,on you go!!!...I think things quirky things like that happen for a reason...imo the older music has worked out perfectly...J...

  • hey there...I trawl the bit-torrents for rare gems. I was so pee'ed off at losing the Pistols and Magazine as I thought they really worked perfectly.

  • Hi there! I went for Jerry Shard's Can Can, Les Baxter's The Fool On The Eifel Tower. John Barry's Beat Girl and a mad bongo mambo called Cumana. Thanks a lot, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • Hey! Thanks R, so glad you like it.

  • ...oh so many old skills are being lost as technology hurls on,it's sad....I see skills like lookin up a dictionary becomin obsolete in a few years...they got spellcheckers',why waste time with something that requires effort!

...like you say...it's great to enable them to see old classics, discover where things started...

...it's a double edge sword...the further technology takes us the more we loose a lot of skills etc...that will be needed again!

The SMA is amazin!glad it on uprise again..

  • ...I knew you'd be gutted n did'nt want to say too much...they did go so well together!but I was'nt at it when I commented you'd come back with another suited collection...)-:know how you feel tho!

  • Just what I needed... Thanks, V. I'm confused though, why's that music so familiar? What is it? the score... B\
