Just a fun way to jazz up your hair, by wrapping rubberbands down a ponytail or section of hair. Be sure to use colors that will stand out against the color of your hair so it can be seen! After you remove the rubberbands after wearing them for the day, you'll have a fabulous wave/curl to your hair! Go check out our website for more tutorials! www.babesinhairland.com

  • Those are going to be heck to get out. :P

  • @musicmaniac97 Actually no they aren't. Only if you yank them out. We do this fairly often & I have no issues at all. You can use a seam unpicker to brake them in one spot and then they just unwind or you can gently pull them off or snip them with a little nail clipper - whatever your choice of removing rubber bands. It honestly is no biggy.

  • where do u get those little rubber bands?

  • @cakoebert The ones I use I usually get at Wal-mart ... I think I've got a video showing the different rubberbands I use, and the ones in the little divided case are the ones I use for this style. I've even used the thicker ponytail holders doing this when I use more hair and it'll give you the same look.

  • Which is the easiest way to cut the rubber bands without pain for the girls? Thanks.

  • @Carmelitavivir Sorry for my slow reply .... I find the easiest way is to snip them out with little baby finger nail clippers, or if you sew and have a seam ripper, that is also a good way to get them out. I just pull one little loop of the rubber band up away from the head & snip it. Then unwind the rest gently. Or as a last resort I grab a little scissor - but make sure they hold VERY still so you don't accidentally cut hair! :-) hth

  • Sorry - you are mistaken. No torture going on here. She's got such a sensitive head - you'd know if I were causing her pain - and I'm not. Just because I turn her head so you can see the the hair doesn't mean I'm hurting her. Thanks anyway.

  • Your daughter is so lucky to have a mother who does her hair. She gets to have all sorts of different hairstyles for school. That's awesome
