@mrsuperlemon & turnoffthetv- The Gogo's always get the credit for this song but it was actually written by Terry Hall and Jane Wiedlin from The Gogo's. Personally- I think he did most of the writing- he is an awesome lyricist (The Specials, Fun Boy 3, The Colourfield, etc.) and she hasn't exactly come out with much. I also agree- it's tragic about Louise Brooks. War and hate doesn't accomplish anything except sorrow.

Oh I FUCKING hate Nouvelle Vague. Bland music for bland people in bland times. They take my favourite songs , "cofee table" them , and make a lot of money from idiots.
