The answers to all the questions you have about becoming a pilot and/or a commercial pilot. This preview shows you what's covered in the extensive DVD -- everything to get you started flying. Too much to put into clips -- from what ratings & licenses you'll need, to how to find money for training, to the process of becoming a pilot, to what the types of jobs there are and how much they pay. Do you need a degree? Is it hard to learn to fly? Do you have to be smart? Should you buy a plane? What school should you go to? What are the requirements and how do you get a job? -- All the questions you've been sending me are answered in the DVD at Lifeintheskies dot com. Take a peek.
its far easier over there in America to learn to fly but here in the UK & Europe we have had to live with many restrictions for many years esp JAA/JAR which is all about preventing people from becoming pilots even if they come from a flying family or the RAF - the whole mindset in Europe and especially in the UK needs to change

This is the last profession I'd recommend a young person get into. There's a huge oversupply of pilots, and has been for the past 20 years I've been in the field. It costs 10's of thousands to obtain the ratings, and despite this supposed "pilot shortage" I've been hearing about for 20 years now, it has yet to materialize. Do you know why there is a pilot shortage? Figure under $25,000/yr for the first several years of your career! Try paying your debt for flight training and college on that!
