Glorious music, heavenly voice = sublime listening experience!

@Pathetikos Vibrato makes it very difficult to hear the line and when overused it sounds just plain sloppy. Now, I'm not completely against vibrato; using it in the right places produces a beautiful effect, but having it on every single note gets really annoying really fast. And besides, doesn't it take more ability to sing a pure pitch than to mask it behind all that wavering?

@thegeekiest7 Nonsense. That anti-vibrato Baroque philology is a joke, nothing but a refuge for unable singers who don't even know have to timbre their voices. The proofs that in the Baroque era singers weren't using vibrato has scandalously poor voice-historical support.

A little too much vibrato for a Baroque piece; hearing the line is a tad difficult with all that wavering.

His high notes, sung softly, have something about them…almost like a leggiero tenor's high notes, but a bit heavier (as they should be). In any case, he sings with such ease, the sound comes out like a gentle stream of water. His low notes also have amazing clarity and strength.

I agree with you; in my opinion it's the most beautiful version of this cantata...

@abandeli Thats what I know since more than 20 years. Compare Koopmans organ-playing with Richter, so you can hear and feel the big difference: Richter made music, and your heart was laughing in your chest Thats the difference between Richter and the "410 crowd".

Bach had 13 children, and he wanted to keep fucking his wife in the darkest thuringia nights in the 17th century germany. Suddenly his wife said, Ich habe genug du WIxer, and then bach was shocked a great deal that he even composed a piece about that

ich habe genug means I have enough you bastard fuck off, in english words LOL
