@009matty The effect it had on people's lives was mundane. Yeah it would have been an unexpected variation to the daily schedule, but not important. The worst that would have happened was that Grandad's ashes fell off the mantelpiece. I gather that the BBC was reporting on the war in Gaza at the time where people live in fear of car bombings, where there are civil rifts in society, some decipher it as a battle ground between the world's main religions. Slightly more relevant than this tripe.

@Kaos77Kisame mundane event? one of the greatest natural forces on the earth and you're calling it mundane? I'd it's pretty incredible really. You need to chill out a bit or take a blue pill and go get some action.

lol sky ftw :)

BBC or CNN?? O_o

No earthquake in the UK is ever important, all they do are suprise a few people, make them react like idiots to a completely mundane event, which in turn, gives the satirists a lot of material to mock.
Hundreds of people killed in conflict in Gaza? Yeah, that's pretty bleeding important.

I know it''s outragous ! (SARCASMSARCASMSARCASMSARCASM)
no, sky interrupted whatever immediately, despite having little much to say except put a big google image search classy cliche earthquake epicentre map with an incorrect epicentre location on, for a really shit earthquake that caused little more than a broken chimney and a few other mediocre problems for a fractional minority.
i didnt feel a thing an i was wide awake, so i'd of rather carried on what i was watching.
im not saying sky news is shit, but who cares, the quake sucked.

I just heard it on there too and I thought it was funny... oh yeah, the BBC pays to make a range of comedy shows. Granted, they're not all brilliant, but where else will you get that as a state-funded national institution. Not to mention all the actual unbiased news coverage, numerous radio and tv channels and a well-maintained reliable website. And did I mention IT'S NOT ALLOWED TO BE BIASED. Or indeed, rubbish, like so much of the media.
