  • Nortrax is XXXXX

  • thanks, im looking for something decent on fuel, but can haul more than i can pull with my 460D, plus the forwarder should be easy on my roads, and i can load with it as well, thanks again...

  • 1010Ds are good.

But I would still buy 8wd with a six cylinder engine so it will give you plenty of power on steep ground and good travel when loaded.

  • Im looking to buy a forwarder here soon, is 8 wheel the way to go? ive been looking at a low hour 1010D or a 1410D... it would be picking up after my timbco and case buncher, working in steep, mostly wet areas... what do you think? thanks..

  • 8wd is better on steep ground and climbing over the ground as well as in the wet.

    Ive driven both.

  • I still don`t see any advantages to a 6 wheel forwarder over an 8 wheeler. Surely it just makes the ride more uncomfortable. Can anyone explain? An 8 wheel 1410 will climb anywhere.
