thanks, im looking for something decent on fuel, but can haul more than i can pull with my 460D, plus the forwarder should be easy on my roads, and i can load with it as well, thanks again...
Im looking to buy a forwarder here soon, is 8 wheel the way to go? ive been looking at a low hour 1010D or a 1410D... it would be picking up after my timbco and case buncher, working in steep, mostly wet areas... what do you think? thanks..
I still don`t see any advantages to a 6 wheel forwarder over an 8 wheeler. Surely it just makes the ride more uncomfortable. Can anyone explain? An 8 wheel 1410 will climb anywhere.

1010Ds are good.
But I would still buy 8wd with a six cylinder engine so it will give you plenty of power on steep ground and good travel when loaded.

8wd is better on steep ground and climbing over the ground as well as in the wet.
Ive driven both.
