    Maybe if it had some chrome and 50's tailfins it might sell in the US...

  • The major drawback of the Quasar was its weight. It has for example glassfibre of 6 mm thick! Keeping it upright at a stoplight was really hard labour.

    More recent developments keep that drawback in mind while designing it.

  • AV Roe was ahead of his time, and he did all this while designing aircraft, what a genius.

    Great idea, I wonder why it never caught on, there must have been drawback.

    I believe Malcolm Newell died a few years ago.

    The Quasar or Quazar still looks good 30 years after it was introduced.
