it wasn't Vancouver - it was the Victoria aquarium - the male orca drowned a trainer there

No, they just decided that it is not fit to remove an orca from its family just for our own entertainment. The Vancouver Aquarium is only taking hurt animals to rehabilitate them, thank god. We do not need another whale torture facility.

i can vouch for you. alot of ppl come and ask us why we capture all these animals D: all our gorgeous animals are rescued

the aquarium should get bigger tanks like they said they would.... kinda sucks that all the whales died. the babies always die too... but whales in captivity can't be freed because they will die of diseases they are not immune too. For the ones already in aquariums, they're better off staying.

I live in Vancouver and never go to the aquarium, the belugas, dolphins. sea lions and fish belong in the wild. Aquariums are just torture facilities for sea creatures.

I was in the Vancouver aquarium a couple of days ago, so sad that there were no killer whales... =( but it is a gr8 aquarium, i really enjoyed it =)

I was lucky to see the orcas last performance at the Vancouver Aquarium. They certainly are beautiful creatures, but they belong in the wild.

yea, but the original reason was that the facilities weren't fit, and that somebody was killed earlier. to say the least, the vancouver aquarium is a dump, so it's certainly good that they are now only holding animals they can actually properly care for.
