On February 24, 2009, Freedom Party leader Paul McKeever was a panelist on the CTS (Crossroads Television) programme "On the Line" with host Christine Williams. In this segment, the panel discusses how a radical leftist managed to prevent a military re-enactment of the battle at the Plains of Abraham (in which England defeated France, in Quebec) by warning that the event's patrons could be assaulted (paint-balled, etc.). Paul discusses former Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau's response during the FLQ crisis (murderous terrorists in Quebec in 1970), and the importance of taking a zero-tolerance approach to terrorist threats. Along the way, Paul explains the unimportance of tradition, and what makes Canada Canada.

  • So I need to be controled? So I'm a extremist? That is, because you do not respect our culture? Why do we not like to see our defeat once again? It would have been great for tourism? Hey everybody , come to see how our people have been place under the domination of another. Will this demonstration include the assimilation intention as well of the take over of our economy? The violences, the villages burning and all the hate of the orangist..? Hypocrits!

  • A defeat that enslaved our people... SUPER HIGLIGHT OF QUEBEC!!!

    Stupid bitch

  • @mikimeadows in communism, there is no government, so FAIL!!!!

  • Everything. Especially the fact that your political plans involve infringing my rights.

  • Comunism, Socialism sounds like utopia in concept. In practice, reality, it ends up being an oppressive form of government. There are always people who think they are more equal than others and they always seek power in government. By giving control of your life to the government you put yourself under their thumb. The republican form of government seeks to keep the power in the hands of the individual and not in the hands of the government.

  • What do you people have against socialists? I'm not looking for a fight, I'm really just curious because it seems to me the most humanitarian political option we have in Canada...(to an extent). What's wrong with that?

  • Mckeever wasn't as forgiving as the other guy was. Glad to see it. Go Paul!

  • Not up to you. My country stays on its own. Thanks though.

  • Don't worry, you'll be excluded.

  • no merging
