Terrorism, Tradition, and Zero-Tolerance

On February 24, 2009, Freedom Party leader Paul McKeever was a panelist on the CTS (Crossroads Television) programme "On the Line" with host Christine Williams. In this segment, the panel discusses how a radical leftist managed to prevent a military re-enactment of the battle at the Plains of Abraham (in which England defeated France, in Quebec) by warning that the event's patrons could be assaulted (paint-balled, etc.). Paul discusses former Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau's response during the FLQ crisis (murderous terrorists in Quebec in 1970), and the importance of taking a zero-tolerance approach to terrorist threats. Along the way, Paul explains the unimportance of tradition, and what makes Canada Canada.

Comunism, Socialism sounds like utopia in concept. In practice, reality, it ends up being an oppressive form of government. There are always people who think they are more equal than others and they always seek power in government. By giving control of your life to the government you put yourself under their thumb. The republican form of government seeks to keep the power in the hands of the individual and not in the hands of the government.
