@IsThisSiteGayorWhat Language IS semantics.

@37butterflyprincess I totally agree with both points, the narrator even says that 're' implies repetitive action, but it's mentioned in 'respect' and not 'religion' for some reason. Interesting stuff, good comment and good vid

@olga2415 Ya guys quit all the semantics ;)

Its true, language has lost some of the true meanings of the original intent of the sound. I liked your presentation. How about Sanskrit, Hebrew and their ancient meanings compared with the Latin. I have an interest in the healing power of hololinguistics and enjoy exploring the truest meaning behind the power of the word spoken.

Could have been a bit more entertaining, i definitely drifted a few times but very interesting. Made me want to do research and that makes me happy (:

I contend a few things in this video. first and foremost, english is NOT a romantic language (AKA romanic or latin language group) it is GERMANIC, with romantic influences (especially french & latin which are romantic)
religion: the exact etymology of religion is not clear. religare is one interpretation most favored by scholars, derived from ligare, meaning to "bind, connect" prefixed with RE this would be taken as RECONNECT

Thank you for this great video. The corruption of language is one of my pet interests. I agree with your comment: :"The only thing standing between us and freedom is not government, armies or evil men, no all their power is derived from OUR ignorance" While it may be egotistically comforting for the ignorant to pick holes in any argument, it is they who pay the price of that ignorance by missing the point of the message.

@phonic0photon Why is it that so many of you like to argue over trivialities? It is language itself that has been corrupted so that it can seem to say the opposite of what people purport it to be saying. Get with the concept being presented instead of looking to quibble! Whether one says "infiltrated" (as language) just know that this vid is trying to show how language has been corrupted. Get it? Evil ones have corrupted the language so people like you can argue unto death and never understand.
Some of these are wrong. Govern = Control but "ment" is just a suffix used to convert a verb into a noun and has nothing to do with "mind".
Also the connotation of religion meant a binding (as in an agreement or obligation) between man and God.
Similarly The word "Yoga" in Sanskrit mean to yoke or bind together so it's literally a practice of one binding himself to or connecting with divinity.
I think you should "respect" those two etymologies. :)

@psychetruth THANK YOU! for the intelligent input , I am glad that some people are looking into this. Now "mente", "mens" and "mentis" originate from modern latin and are associated reason and the mind. Yes this suffix is used to convert verbs to nouns , but there are many others like: ry, ance, ity, etc
"Guber, Guberno infer steering, pilotage, guiding.
So even tho the origin of the word may be accidental and spontaneous. The meaning still infers stearing, piloting and the mental faculties

Small addendum, I conclude by saying: The only thing standing between us and freedom is not government, armies or evil men, no all their power is derived from OUR ignorance"
Ignorance is state of ignoring or simply refusing to hear the truth and available information. (a condition most 9-5 drones exist in)
Nescience is on the other hand is the simple state of not being informed (this is the state of having no access to real info... as in 3rd world dictatorships)
