Time to create: Three days and two nights of filming in New York City in the autumn of 2008, plus about two weeks in the editing room (anywhere from 1 6 hours per day). The editing time could have been cut down substantially if a series of rendering problems hadnt occurred. Photos are from a personal archive, taken at various points in time dating back a few years. Artistic/Social Meaning: The main theme is pretty straight forward: time manipulation of video footage to match both the soundtrack and the definition of the word Velocity. Coincidentally, one of the Sony Vegas Pro 8.0 tools used to conduct time manipulation is called a velocity envelope. There are a number of other more subtle themes, symbols and motifs, but thats stuff for you to interpret. : )
