You can laugh at it all you want, but, this car saved BMW from going under in the economic bust that was Europe, in the decade following WW2

I had the Heinkel version of the bubble car, huge inside my brother is 6'5'' and could sit with his legs out straight but the 200cc single cylinder engine tended to over heat and that perspex rear screen made you feel like an ant under a magnifying glass in the summer
