Traditional speakers transmit non-directed sound at wavelengths of several feet. This new system, called Audio Spotlight, transmits millimeter-sized, ultrasonic waves in a very narrow beam of sound, which becomes audible as it travels through the air. Audio Spotlight, consists of two major components: a thin, circular transducer(speaker)array, and a signal processor/amplifier. The lightweight, nonmagnetic transducer is about .5 inches (1.0 centimeters) thick, and it typically has an active area 1 foot (30.48 cm) in diameter. It can project a three-degree wide beam of sound that is audible even at distances over 100 meters (328 feet). The signal processor/amplifier are integrated into a system about the size of a traditional audio amplifier, and they use about the same amount of power.

  • @src438 i ges hukt on foniks rily dun u rite (translation: i guess hooked on phonics really done you right; the way most (including myself) would say it: i guess hooked on phonics really helped you).

  • Of Course! With an Atlas rocket.

  • This is actually exist!!! It's done people that for no reasons at all they pick-up on certain people and harass them 24-7 day night at sleep and what not- Most people that been "TARGETED-INDIVIDUAL" are people that they did nothing wrong to no one but - they abuser continue to abuse harass and stalk those individuals -Why? not-sure -(Russians-Italians-Israelis-originally used it on people)- I assume just because they didn't been liked or accepted in society or in the community!!!!!!!

  • @k10sh1r0 Anything 120 dB or more is harmful, from hearing loss to even death (at 180 dB). However, the ultrasound emitted from this device is most likely (I'm 98% sure) way below 120 dB. I'd say something less than 100 dB.

  • Other than being gay, did anybody had a study about the risk and side effects on long term exposure to ultrasound wave?

  • is it safe to use?

  • Now that's what I call genius.

  • @TechnomancerMorhion in theory you can make it any size, but it's going to affect the frequency responce

  • @bonbonfemme no the longest distance they've gotten it to go is 200 meters
