A video review of the Kobo Touch 6" Pearl e-Ink ebook reader from the folks who bring you the Kobobooks.com ebook store. This $129 compact WiFi only ereader supports ePub including library book, PDFs, mobi and images. It has a web browser but not music player.

  • I like watching your reviews, since you actually sound like you know what you're talking about :).

Question: Nook Touch, Kindle Touch, Kobo Touch, or Sony PRS-T1? And will you give a reason for your choice? Thank you! :)

  • @RobotsandMonstersx Thanks! Please share our reviews with friends and online! We will have a review of the Kindle Touch very soon. Stay tuned. With Kobo being bought, it's hard to say where they will go in terms of content and future devices. We have videos of the Sony and Nook devices here and full and more in-depth reviews of both on MobileTechReview web site to help you decide. We will have full coverage of the Kindle Touch very soon.

  • @MobileTechReview Also another question - can any of the touch ereaders you've reviewed highlight side loaded ebooks? Or is it just the ones you buy from the store that you can highlight?

  • @RobotsandMonstersx Yes, highlighting works on side loaded books as well.

  • @MobileTechReview I don't mean to be argumentative but I had the same question and there seems to be contradicting responses in the video (6:57) and in this thread. Please confirm for me which response I should take on board.

    -Thank you =)

  • @chazzyou They added a lot of features since we did this video review. So yes, you can highlight side loaded books now, but not when we reviewed the device.

  • @mountain885 Its an E-Reader not a tablet you fucking retard.

That's like saying the iPad 2 is a cheap ass version of an iMac. They just don't compete.

  • I like it except for that ugly backing.

  • @GOGMattTheMan As far as I know, that is a new feature. :)

  • i want one soooo bad !

gettin one for my b-day :)

  • thank you very much

    what about Kobo Vox ??

  • I love the Kobo Touch!

But my home page is not at all like that!

It has the shortlist thing at the bottom, please help!

  • Thank you for providing such a clear description on the Kobo touch.

I'm trying to work out which is the better option Kobo or Kindle. Both have their plus and minus. However the Kobo with it's access to ePub, compared to the Kindle and it's download only through Amazon, is the deal breaker I think.

  • eink looks so awesome, videos do it no justice.

but at the same time its limitations are annoying as hell, i never could get over them.
