you should check out the 350hp 5.3l v8 outboard from yamaha its a sick motor but mercs are still a nice motor

@yz250f10 I saw that motor first at the Atlanta Boat Show in 2009! It is quite the beast. Having the shortest shaft length of only 25" (versus the 20" on my 300XS) is a disadvantage, not to mention that it is almost 300 LBS heavier (more than a 50% increase, which would be detrimental to a small 20' boat like I've got!) - That motor is something else none the less

love seeing how the 2 stroke was suppose to be dead in the late 90's and all they did is make better 2stroks that lb for lb and cc for cc put any 4stroke to shame in hp and torque

that is a nice motor
