Top 10 Iron Maiden Recommendations

Here are 10 songs that I think a begining Maiden fan should listen to. In my opinion, these songs define Iron Maiden's many styles. At one time, these were my 10 favorite Maiden songs. But as I explored more of their experiemental and progressive songs, I found I liked them better than the classics. Currently, my Top 10 list of songs is as follows, with #1 being my favorite Maiden song:

Iron Maiden are not progressive.

As a whole, no, they are not. But they have made some very Progressive albums (Somewhere in Time, Seventh Son, A Matter of Life and Death, etc...). An artist or band can make a Prog production without being in the Prog genre. Take Metallica for example, Justice was a very progressive album, yet Metallica are no where near considered to be in the Prog genre. Get your facts straight.

i think if you put in something from their 2 first albums the beginning iron maiden fan would have a better view in all their style's because i think that you have just a little too many new style songs

honestly dude, i totall agree with u. i made this video when i was basically a new fan myself. as of now, i know just about every maiden song by heart and i have every one of their studio songs on my mp3 player. I would change this video around alot, but quite frankly, i just dont have the time right now. i would probably make it a Top 20 and add some songs as you said, like Phantom of the Opera, Iron Maiden, and Purgatory

to a beginning fan i would just say listen to somewhere back in time best of and if they like that then just discover more stuff by looking around on youtube for more popular songs that arn't on somewhere back in time and then listen to the slightly more obscure but still great stuff

Somebody! Try and put together a worst of Iron Maiden top 10? Trust me it's ALOT harder to do as Maiden are one of the best bands in the world and have been for some time. Maiden do not (often) let weak tracks get on their albums or singles for that matter. Up the Irons. Bless all MAIDEN heads around the world. Quality music in every way.
