@jlloyd3100 Was it fully confirmed that the cause of pneumonia was vaccine preventable?? I highly doubt it. There are many causes of pneumonia. There are more than 80 different types of pneumococcus bacteria only 23 of these are covered in the current vaccination. Plus, something called serotype replacement (caused by vaccination) is making the other ones more common. Oh, and btw, the pneumonia vaccine isn't even recommended for children/babies. And Offit is a fraud and a liar.

Dr. Offit is truly a hero. My child wasn't vaccinated (long story), and almost died from pneumonia (he did not get the pneumonia vaccine), although now he has permanent damage to his lungs.

I hope that no parent has to go through what I went through, but sometimes I wonder how some of the parents saying such awful things about vaccines would feel if they went through what I did. My child receives every vaccine on time, and I would like to get him more if I could. Vaccines do save lives.
