This live cut from a CD release concert in Colorado celebrating Richard Kaplan's "The Hidden One: Jewish Mystical Songs" was filmed in 2009. The evening contained both performances as well as an intimate sharing of the spiritual intentions and underpinnings of the songs - songs from Greece, Turkey, Spain, Eastern Europe and Inner Asia. This version of "Barkhi Nafshi" was composed by Richard Kaplan to a Salonican folk melody.

Wow. Thanks, Richard, for so beautifully shedding light on mystical, meaningful and too often missed Jewish teachings.
