Thats complete wrong. Ferdinand Porsche developed the VW Beetle. August Horch is the founder off Audi. The name "Audi" results off his family name. Horch=listen=audire. In the 1960´s Audi was a company off Mercedes-Benz! When VW grows up, they bought Audi and made it to the exclusive brand that it is in this Times.

Can diss the R32 all you like but what you've basically got is a quick, safe and good looking hatch that you can use everyday. Goes pretty well too. They hold their value well and look great. Was going to get one but settled for an S3 instead.
