One of legendary songs of Pink Floyd.
Lyrics:

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell,
Blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade
Your heros for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl,
Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

  • Taking acid and listening to pink floyd was a transforming experience in my teen years. While I generally think staying away from drugs is a better option, Tripping, sharing a joint with someone you love (be it love like a brother, or actual romantic love), while listening to this album is a life changing experience, and I am so glad the younger generation isnt missing out on it.

  • @lukerappel True dat. 17 and I know The Wall album by heart. Personally, this is my favorite song and my favorite band.

  • my father used to play this for me when i was an infant. it's my favorite song. it reminds me of my childhood. i grew up listening to my dad's music, and floyd is definitely the best. i'm 26 now, and about to have a baby of my own. i'm going to pass it on to her, the way it was passed to me, and i hope she appreciates it as much as i have over the years.
