Unfortunately, after filming finished, AskTheBuilder had to remove the brackets and move the large shelf again so that he could get back out through the door.

Hi there, I've got a question: my husband is building a short rectangular book case and we were wondering how to make the corners rounded. I'd appreciate any tips. Thanks!

I jigsaw or a band saw is the tool. Use a fine-toothed blade and cut very slowly.

Hi Tim. I'm building a book shelf in my room. I'm using an ordinary plywood (3/4" thick, 12" width, and 78" length) and 4 "L" steel braces using 3/16" screws. My question is: How do you compute the weight this kind of book shelf will be able to support. I just hope that it can support my books. Thanks.

As much as I hate to say it, there is no magical method. Install just one shelf and load it. See if it appears to be under excessive strain.

AsktheBuilder,
That's a nice video. One thing that would make it better, if you're looking for advice, would be to have some sort of mini-microphone on you so that listeners don't have to strain to hear you.
Thanks for the vid :)

Thanks for the comment. I was wearing a lavalier microphone. :-) We converted that video from a VHS tape and the darn sound track on the tape had degraded. Sorry about that!
