3iem Salon de la Photographie Contemporaine- Guelma 2011

When visiting Guelma recently, 10 year old Toutou insisted I catch the bus with him to go and see 'some photos'. It was a hot and steamy afternoon and a siesta seemed more on the cards. But he insisted. Never having taken a public bus before in Algeria, the adventure started there... and led to us arriving at the launch of the Guelma Photo Fair and one of the organisers being the same photographer I had been looking for on the boulevard the day before who had lent me a sony camera for a month in 2006- Rachid. I whipped out my littel kodak digital camera and mic and gave ten year old toutou a crash course in filming...
